Towards a More Humanistic Understanding of Human Motivations
International Humanistic Management Association organices a live online lunch and learn with Prof Manuel Guillén, Founder and Director of the Institute for Ethics in Communication and in Organizations (IECO).
This session focus on teaching HR professionals how to develop and implement a program to communicate and reinforce humanistic management values and ethics.
For that purpose, first and most important step will be to reflect together, from a humanistic management perspective, on the content of current motivations in their organizations, and therefore in their values, vision and mission, to consider the the way this is affecting to ethical behaviors and reinforcing more humanistic organizational culture.
The purpose of this specific session on humanistic management view of human motivations will have a direct impact on the review and description of the organization’s principles and beliefs, therefore, the motivations of its members, which are its core values. These motivations have a direct impact on the organizations key objectives, which comprise its vision and vision statement, and therefore outlining expected behaviors, which represent its ethics policy aligned with their strategy.
The importance of a proper communication of this humanistic understanding of motivations will be underlined, given that they affect to the organization values, vision, mission, and ethical behaviors. Expected results of such a communication will be 1) a conveyed humanistic organization’s culture where organizational change can take place; 2) characterized by an inclusive environment, with 3) clear expectations for all current employees and 4) future recruited talent; promoting a 5) higher level of employee engagement.
